Support Teacher for Relocated School/LSS Operations in Kungsbacka

Do you want to help develop our relocated school/LSS operations that belong to the adapted high school in Kungsbacka? You will be part of a team in the relocated operations.

The Role of Support Teacher with Us

As a support teacher with us, you will focus on working with and developing challenging behaviors to create the right conditions for the individual to achieve a good quality of life and a functioning everyday life. The goal is for the student to be able to absorb knowledge and for learning and development to work through a pedagogical setup with the support of teachers. The work involves collaborating with method developers and educators regarding schedules, content, and arrangements to promote learning and development.

The role is characterized by a culture of sharing where we together take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. Based on scientific principles and proven experience, you are expected to actively work to clarify, communicate, and see the student's development needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with AAC and clarifying pedagogy.
• Adapt your working methods according to the needs of the student and the operations.
• Work to help the student become as independent as possible based on their conditions and thereby create accessible learning environments for the student.
• Work with visual support and sign language based on the needs of the group and the individual.

Your Profile

As a person, you work well with others, are accommodating, and attentive in your interactions. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward, deliver results, and prioritize your work effectively. You adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You take initiatives and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. We are looking for someone who is positive, secure, and stable. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant work experience with intellectual disabilities, autism.
• Has good knowledge of IBIC (Individual's Needs in Center).
• Has experience with the combine system.
• Has relevant further education in, for example, Low-Arousal Approach, AAC, care and support coordination, psychiatry, or similar, or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is meritorious:

• If you have knowledge and competence regarding PWS - Prader Willi Syndrome.
